Here are some character highlights:

Hwang TaeKyeong (Jang GeunSuk)
Highly sensitive, clean-freak, and arrogant character present in the band A.N.JELL. He is the type of guy that is tiring to be with all the time. However, inside his perfect shell, is the sweet image of the kid who had been rejected all along.

Go MiNam / MiNyu (Park ShinHye)
The 4-D character that lacks both communication and social skills. Living and seeing only the good sides of the world, she is a naive character. She has no sense of thinking before she acts and imagines the worst case scenario for everything.

Jeremy (Lee HongKi)
The rich and famous character from England with such a positive attitude. He is also the center of the balance between his members. With his smile all is forgiven and is the member that shows off the most fan service.

Kang ShinWoo (Jung YongHwa)
Different from his luxurious image, in real life he is a expression-less and feeling-less character. He is basically careless about things around him. He has a big ambition and been living his life with a sharp eye for everything.

U HyeEe (Uee)
Nation’s sister and fairy. All her life she had been loved by everyone. She is known for her sweet smiles, but the truth is that she has a side of her that is evil and dark. She shows interests for TaeKyeong and plays a big role in messing around with MiNam when she finds out she had been a girl all along.

Circumcision

Circumcision is a minor surgery done to remove skin tip (nose) penis. Its main purpose is to maintain cleanliness. As a religious, circumcision is common in the Muslim community in Malaysia. This procedure is done when children aged between five to 12 years and is very encouraged when they are aged 10 years and below to prevent the nature of shame and they need to clean from filth and dirt before performing prayers five times.

Advantages Circumcision

Excessive skin at the tip of the penis has a climate that is suitable for the growth of bacteria because it is often injured, and wet nature PLTA. One of the Pillars of Faith is to believe in angels. However, have we wondered how we bring faith to the angel? Faith does not come in Roll. Faith to God can come to study, appreciate and think about His creation in the universe. He can come to faith in miracles that God bestowed upon them. But how to faith angel? What are the signs of the existence of angels?

Before explaining about the existence of angels, one should know the properties of angels themselves. Qur'an and Hadith to explain many of our properties angels.

1. Angels were created from light

Word of the Messenger of 'A'ishah:
"They were created from light, jinn were created from fire and man was created from what is told to (land)" [Narrated by Muslim]

2. Angels do not have an intention, no desire.
And they say: "Why is eating food and messenger running in the markets? Why not revealed to him an angel to give a reminder that angels with him?" [Al-Furqan: 7]

3. Obedient angels perform God's commandments without the least protest.
Those who are with thy Lord is not too proud to worship Allah and His mentasbihkan them and to Him they prostrate [Al-heights: 206]

4. He had the strength of angels.
And the angels are on the corner-corner of the sky. And on that day eight persons carrying angels' Arsy Lord above (head) them. [Al-Haaqqah: 17]

5. Angels can be changed into any form, by the permission of Allah
And when Our messengers came to (the angels) to the Lot, he was troubled, and felt his chest narrow because their arrival, and he said: "This is a very difficult day" [Hud: 77]

An angel form Daya
Angels is the plural of the Arabic word 'Malak' means the force (force). The Prophet, have stated that the angels were created from light. Light is electromagnetic radiation which carries energy and momentum and the effect can be seen when interacting with matter. This is in line with the meaning of the angel itself which means forces or force.

The Final Destination is a 2009 3-D supernatural thriller/horror film written by Eric Bress and directed by David R. Ellis, both of whom also worked on Final Destination 2. Released on August 28, 2009, it is the fourth installment to the Final Destination franchise, and the first of which to be shot in HD 3-D.

The Final Destination is rated R by the MPAA for strong violent/gruesome accidents, language and a scene of sexuality.

Plot

Ten years after the Volée Air Flight 180 disaster at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a young man (Bobby Campo) and his friends escaped a race track disaster at McKinley Speedway after having a horrific premonition of their own demises, only to discovers that Death is claiming the lives of the survivors one by one in the order that they would've died on it. He and his girlfriend Lori (Shantel VanSanten), who is also one of the survivors and believes him, after learning the details of every previous disasters of the past decade since the aviation incident at JFK along with other people who also had premonitions of their own deaths from those events, they realize that they must race against time to find a way to cheat their deaths once more before they reach to their final destination.

Characters

Nick O' Bannon: Nick (Bobby Campo) is the male lead in The Final Destination and he is the one with the premonitions. He has some heroic characteristics and is dating female lead, Lori Milligan. Nick causes a commotion in the seats causing his friends and other angry people to leave the stadium. He is hit by a truck along with Lori and Janet, and the impact smashes him against the cafe wall, killing him. He is the last survivor of the McKinley Speedway. His original death at McKinley Speedway was to be impaled through the chest by a protruding metal debris after being pushed into it from a large explosion.

Lori Milligan: Lori (Shantel VanSanten) is the female lead in The Final Destination and she is the first one who believes Nick O' Bannon. She is smart and the kindest of the characters, she is also dating Nick. She chooses to follow Nick out the stadium because she is worried about him. She is hit by a truck, along with Nick and Janet, and breaks her neck. She would have been crushed by an escalator conveyor belt if it wasn't for the intervention of Nick. She is the tenth to die. Her original death at McKinley Speedway was to be burned by a large explosion.

Janet Cunnigham: Janet (Haley Webb) is Nick O' Bannon, Lori Milligan and Hunt Wynorski's friend, she used to date Hunt. Janet is one of the most emotionally fragile of the group and is always uptight and might have believed Nick and Lori about the premonitions, but she was too scared to want any part of it. She decided to leave the stadium because she was scared of a crash in the first place. She would have been beheaded or crushed by a pipe in the car wash if not for the intervention of Lori and George, as well as being impaled by exploding debris and nails at the theater if not for Nick. She is run over by a truck along with Nick and Lori, and is crushed by its front left tire. She is the ninth to die. Her original death at McKinley Speedway was to be crushed by the falling debris with Hunt.

George Lanter: George (Mykelti Williamson) is a security guard at the stadium. Prior to the McKinley Speedway crash he lost his wife and daughter in a car accident because of driving under the influence. He is having trouble not drinking and is generally mild-tempered because he didn't even attempt to defend himself when racist insults are aimed at him. He follows Nick out the stadium to make sure a fight doesn't break out in the group. He is run over by a speeding ambulance. He is the eighth to die. His original death at McKinley Speedway was to be burned by a large explosion.

Jonathan Grove: Jonathan (Jackson Walker) is a minor comic relief in the film. He wears a cowboy hat and has a southern accent. He has a sense of humor shown in the premoniton as well. He doesn't follow Nick out of the stadium because he doesn't want to be involved in a fight, but he doesn't die because Nick never asked him to move to another seat. He ends up buried under the debris, but alive. When recovered and sent to a hospital, a small pool falls on him through the ceiling from the floor above, crushing him. Jonathan is the seventh to die. It is unknown what his original death at McKinley Speedway would have been if he had changed seats.

Hunt Wynorski: Hunt (Nick Zano) is friends with Nick O'Bannon, Lori Milligan and previously dated Janet Cunnigham. He is somewhat insensitive and loves violence, and he follows Nick out the stadium to yell at him for ruining his game. His intestines are sucked violently down the drain in a pool and he is the sixth one to die. His original death at McKinley Speedway would have to be crushed by falling debris with Janet.

Andy Kewzer: Andy (Andrew Fischella) was dating Nadia Monroy and is a mechanic. He is rude and mean to everyone but Nadia, but somewhat changes after witnessing her death. He followed Nick out of the stadium to fight with him after Nick's hysteria annoys both he and Nadia. He is crushed into a fence by a flying CO2 canister, which dices his torso. He is the fifth one to die. His original death at McKinley Speedway would have been impaled by a sharp wooden plank through the mouth after falling on it.

Samantha Lane: Samantha (Krista Allen) is married and has two sons. She is somewhat spoiled and wants things done her way, but she is also kind and caring towards her kids. Samantha followed her sons out of the stadium, who had ran to watch the fight. A sharp stone flies right through her right eye when a lawnmower runs over it and propels it outwards. She is the fourth one to die. It should be noted that Samantha's husband and two sons are the only notably featured characters in the show who would have survived both the original speedway crash as well as being saved by Nick's intervention. Her original death at the McKinley Speedway was to crushed by a flying engine, after being trampled on by the escaping crowd and being separated from her family.

Carter Daniels: Carter (Justin Welborn) is married to Cynthia Daniels, and is a racist and member of the Ku Klux Klan. He is the meanest and rudest of all the characters and he blames George for his wife's death because George refused to let him back in the stadium after the crash, and makes many racist remarks towards him. He follows Nick out of the stadium to fight with him for spilling his beer on him. In planning to get back at George for "killing his wife" and trying to burn a cross on his lawn, he ends up burning to death while being dragged down the street by the hook of his tow truck. He is the third one to die. His original death at the McKinley Speedway was to have been sliced in half by a exploding piece of debris (probably a car bonnet).

Nadia Monroy: Nadia (Stephanie Honore) is Andy's girlfriend. She was spoiled by Andy and shallow and mean like him. She followed Nick out of the stadium because Andy was leaving the stadium to confront Nick. She is then killed right after when a tire from an exploding car lands on her. She is the second one to die. Her original death at the McKinley Speedway was to have an exploding debris land on her (much like her death later on).

Cynthia Daniels: Cynthia (Lara Grice) is married to racist, Carter Daniels. It is unknown whether she was a racist as well, but she seemed to do whatever Carter says without question. She didn't leave the stadium because Carter told her to stay back while he confronted Nick. Therefore she was killed by being sliced in half by exploding debris, just as in the premonition. She was the first one to die.

Education and early career

Born in Evanston, Illinois, Gibson moved to Washington, D.C., when he was 12. He attended the Sidwell Friends School, a private college-preparatory school in Washington. Personal life

Gibson's wife Arlene is an educator who recently retired as Head of School at the Spence School in New York City. She has also held positions at other schools in New York and New Jersey, and was the head of the middle school at the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore in the 1980s. She is a trustee at her alma mater, Bryn Mawr College.

Gibson has two daughters, Jessica and Katherine. On March 14, 2006, Jessica gave birth to Gibson's first grandchild.

On June 17, 2007, Gibson delivered the commencement address to the class of 2007 at Union College's 213th graduation ceremonies. Gibson received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters during the ceremony, as well as a framed copy of his father's 1923 College yearbook entry. His father, Burdett, grew up in Schenectady, New York and graduated from the College in 1923. Gibson contributed an estimated $75,000 to Union College to help create the Burdett Gibson Class of 1923 Scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a deserving student in need.

Gibson donated $85,000 to Shenandoah University in Winchester at the request of his high school girlfriend, Dolores Pearse. She wanted him to establish the Pearse Gibson II Music Scholarship Fund in memory of his brother, who died in early 2006.

Retirement

At the end of the year 2009, Gibson is planning to retire and is being replaced by Diane Sawyer at the beginning of January 2010. Mark Alan Dacascos (born February 26, 1964 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American actor and martial artist. He won numerous karate and various styles of kung fu championships between the ages of 7 and 18.[1]

Beginning in January 2005, Dacascos has portrayed "the Chairman" on Food Network's television series Iron Chef America. This role was previously played by Takeshi Kaga in the original Japanese Iron Chef, and Dacascos claims an in-character relationship to Kaga as his nephew.

It was announced on August 17, 2009 that he will compete in season 9 of Dancing with the Stars.

Biography

His father, Al Dacascos, is from Hawaii. He is a martial arts instructor of Filipino, Spanish, and Han Chinese ancestry. His mother, Moriko McVey is of Irish and Japanese ancestry. His stepmother is award winning martial artist Malia Bernal.

He is married to actress Julie Condra, who starred with him in Crying Freeman.

Career

Dacascos became an actor after being discovered walking down the street in San Francisco's Chinatown by two men working for director Wayne Wang. 1- Ask about his family

How to do it: It seems like a cliché, but your boss really will appreciate it if you demonstrate that you remember the names of significant others, spouses and children.
What to say: The next time he mentions his wife or his son, slip the relative's actual name into the conversation. Follow up on old conversations you've had about his family and ask how his son is doing in Little League, for example.

The limitations: Don't overdo it. If you ask about the family too often, your boss might find it invasive, or worse yet, a little creepy.

2- Discover your common interests

How to do it: Try to uncover something -- anything -- that you and your boss are both interested in. Does he have a tennis racket or set of golf clubs resting in the corner of his office? Is there a book about photography sitting on the shelf? Just keep your eyes and ears open. People have all types of passions and hobbies, so there's bound to be some interests you share.

GEORGE TOWN: Malaysians will be able to sight up to a total of 100 Perseid meteors per hour streaking across the northern sky in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Astronomy Atmospheric Science Unit lecturer Assoc Prof Dr Chong Hon Yew said that according to the International Meteor Organisation (IMO). the meteor shower is expected to be best viewed from 1.30am to 4am on Thursday.

“The shower could have started on July 24 and is expected to be observed until Aug 17.

“It is however predicted that during the peak viewing time (Thursday morning), the moon will be high in the sky, outshining the fainter meteors.
“There is a good chance for observers to spot the brighter meteors however,” he said on Wednesday.

Dr Chong also hoped the weather would be favourable for the Perseids to be seen.

Those who miss tomorrow’s meteor shower may still catch a “lesser version” after midnight Thursday, or early Friday morning.

Dr Chong said the Perseids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle which are usually fast, bright and occasionally leave persistent trains.

“The point they come from lies in the constellation of Perseus,” he said.
The Perseid meteor shower has been observed for about 2,000 years, with the first known sighting coming from the Far East.

Every year in August, the Earth passes through rock and dust fragments left behind by the comet Swift-Tuttle. As these small particles collide with the Earth’s atmosphere, they burn up, often creating a startling streak of light across the sky.

The shower is visible from mid-July each year, with the greatest activity between Aug 8 and Aug 14, peaking at about Aug 12.

Have you ever dropped your mobile phone, sat on it or spilt coffee all over it? Thought so.

But handsets are getting tougher these days thanks to a series of tests they go through before hitting the shops.

Nokia opened its test centre doors to TV cameras for the first time to show how devices are put through their paces.

Engineers carry out more than 200 physical tests - below is a selection of the weird and wonderful ones.

Mobile phones have each navigation key pressed half a million times to check wear and tear.

When Nokia introduced games onto some handsets, it found certain buttons were being pressed more often and harder than others.

So different pressures are now applied and the select button and number keys which are used more often get pounded a million times.

Another test aims to check how handsets perform when put in and pulled out of trouser pockets.

A trouser leg is used to rub the devices up and down 750,000 times over a period lasting several days.

This is a much about testing for dust build up as it is about marking and discolouration.

Another repetitive test is manually plugging in and removing the charger for each handset at least 6,000 times.

A group of people are employed do this because, unlike machines, humans do it differently every time.

Engineers also mimic the scrapes and scratches you might get from keys or purses in a handbag.

The handset is put in a revolving container with sharp items to check how it performs.

The Elements

Each device is put in a lightbox and exposed to four different types of lighting, including UV, to check for any discolouring.

It is also sent into the ovens and freezers for six days - each phone must operate between -20 and 55C.

Then it is sauna time - being exposed to 95% humidity means the handset is dripping wet but it needs to work within two hours of coming out.

The best advice if you do get your mobile wet is to turn it off, take the battery out, and dry out the casing on a radiator.

Handsets are tested to make sure they can be used in the rain without breaking down

Most mobiles are not designed to be waterproof but equally they should work fine when you need to take a phonecall in the rain.

Engineers check that a device remains fully functional in such a scenario by dripping water on it for three minutes.

Drop Test

The classic way many of us kill our mobile phones is by dropping them. That's what some of our followers on Twitter told us:

"I dropped my phone in the front yard and my dad ran it over with a lawnmower about one min later," wrote @JerBear1984.

"Last week my brand new HTCs620 vibrated off a shelf and fell in a sink full of water when it rang," wrote @uroborosmessiah.

"I left mine on top of the car once, drove off, then realised what I'd done, reversed back straight," wrote @meerkatmatt.

Dropping a mobile phone is a typical way of damaging this device

Nokia has come up with a more scientific process to test mobile phones to destruction, except they're expected to survive.

The handset is dropped twice on each face, every corner and each edge from 1.5m onto reinforced concrete.

The back and battery may flip off, but once re-assembled the phone must work perfectly.

Physical Build

Each of the sample phones must survive 120 rotations in a metre long tumble cage, and 180 in a smaller one.

The tumble is roughly the equivalent of knocking the device off a desk and it gives an idea of general durability.

There is also a twist test - a force of 40 Newton metres turns the handset until the battery cover is about to flip off.

Imagine a 15 stone (95kg) man sitting down with a phone in his back pocket.

To survive this, the handset must pass a flexibility test which sees 130 Newton force being applied to it with an iron bar.

When mobile phones fail tests, they are taken to the Forensics Lab where researchers look into the reasons.

The different layers of each component are looked at, with X-rays being used to spot hairline cracks and a laser light checking the handset's exterior condition.

Plus the state of the battery is analysed by a machine that can check the chemical make-up of the phone.

There's nothing more frustrating than sitting at a red light, watching smiling drivers on the other side of the road speed past.

But before you sound your horn and shout at the lights, consider the enormously complex network of roads, lights and junctions in which the single vehicle is just a tiny part.

In London alone, an average 11 million car and motorcycle journeys take place every day. The city has 6,000 traffic lights controlling the flow and a hi-tech control centre monitoring its success.

It is a far cry from the first traffic signals - which were erected outside the Houses of Parliament in 1868 and which controlled the traffic using semaphore armsAs complex as the traffic network might seem, the technology on which it depends is surprisingly old fashioned.

The basic maths of the system was developed by researchers FV Webster and BM Cobbe in the 1960s and is still used to this day - although refined somewhat by the advent of computer simulations.

The other method is a little more hi-tech.

Coiled under the tarmac at junctions and crossroads across the UK, are loops of cable which act as metal detectors as cars pass over them.

This information is passed to a central computer, which uses complex algorithms to calculate the optimal time each light should spend on each colour, ideally creating a smooth flow of traffic throughout the network.

The computers make small adjustments to the timings of the lights, slowly iterating towards the best possible traffic flow. The most hi-tech development is the use of transmitters in buses, which are tracked by the system so that bus passengers are guided as quickly as possible to their destination with the minimum disruption to other traffic.

And in case you were wondering, some lights have a sensor on the top, with the lights programmed not to change at quiet times unless traffic is spotted - so it sometimes is worth edging carefully forward.

A PRETTY prison officer yesterday claimed she was forced out of her job for being "too sexy".

Petite Amitjo Kajla, 22, said she faced "barbs" from colleagues about wearing too much make-up and clothes more revealing than standard uniform.

She told a tribunal she had no alternative but to quit after she was:

BULLIED because of her attractive appearance and tiny, size four frame.

REPRIMANDED for being friendly with inmates, and MOCKED for carrying a handbag.

She claimed public remarks made about her at Brinsford Young Offenders Institution - for tearaway lads in the West Midlands - left her feeling "harassed and humiliated".

Ms Kajla is seeking compensation from the Prison Service, claiming she was effectively fired.

The tribunal, in Birmingham, heard how one young lag told her, "Miss, you look sexy" after her uniform was altered to fit her.

She insisted he was "just testing the water". And she added: "I was friendly to inmates but never a friend."

Dragged

But other officers warned her she risked being dragged into a cell and attacked. She said one senior colleague called her a "stupid little girl".

Miss Kajla told how she moved to Brinsford after a trouble-free spell at HMP Shrewsbury. But she immediately ran into trouble from a governor for wearing heavy make-up, bangles and a nose-stud.

Despite writing in her diary, "Make-up is me," she bought lighter shades to comply.

Senior prison officer Lee Hastings told the tribunal Miss Kajla often sat with groups of lags on her own and locked cell doors by herself.

He said this showed an unprofessional disregard for her own safety, and added: "It isn't part of a prison officer's role to socialise with inmates."

But Miss Kajla's solicitor Stephen Roberts accused Mr Hastings of bullying her.

He said: "You treated her less favourably because she was young and pretty." Mr Hastings responded: "I deny that."

Adam Farrer, for the Prison Service, said being "glammed up" was inappropriate.

And Miss Kajla was seen as a "soft touch" by lags, many of whom knew her address.

Petroleum engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the subsurface activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. These activities are deemed to fall within the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry, which are the activities of finding and producing hydrocarbons. (Refining and distribution to a market are referred to as the downstream sector.)

Exploration, by earth scientists, and petroleum engineering are the oil and gas industry's two main subsurface disciplines, which focus on maximizing economic recovery of hydrocarbons from subsurface reservoirs. Petroleum geology and geophysics focus on provision of a static description of the hydrocarbon reservoir rock, while petroleum engineering focuses on estimation of the recoverable volume of this resource using a detailed understanding of the physical behavior of oil, water and gas within porous rock at very high pressure.

The combined efforts of explorationists and petroleum engineers throughout the life of a hydrocarbon accumulation determine the way in which a reservoir is developed and depleted, and usually they have the highest impact on field economics. Petroleum engineering requires a good knowledge of many other related disciplines, such as geophysics, petroleum geology, formation evaluation (well logging), drilling, economics, reservoir simulation, well engineering, artificial lift systems, and oil & gas facilities engineering.

Petroleum engineering has become a technical profession that involves extracting oil in increasingly difficult situations as the "low hanging fruit" of the world's oil fields are found and depleted. Improvements in computer modeling, materials and the application of statistics, probability analysis, and new technologies like horizontal drilling and enhanced oil recovery, have drastically improved the toolbox of the petroleum engineer in recent decades.

As mistakes may be measured in millions of dollars, petroleum engineers are held to a high standard. Deep-water operations can arguably be compared to space travel in terms of technical challenges. Arctic conditions and conditions of extreme heat have to be contended with. High Temperature and High Pressure (HTHP) environments that have become increasingly commonplace in today's operations require the petroleum engineer to be savvy in topics as wide ranging as thermo-hydraulics, geomechanics, and intelligent systems.

Petroleum engineers must implement high technology plans with manpower and high coordination, often in dangerous conditions. The drilling rig crew and machines they use become the remote partner of the petroleum engineer in implementing every drilling program. Understanding and accounting for the issues and communication challenges of building these teams remain just as vital to the petroleum engineer as ever.

The Society of Petroleum Engineers is the largest professional society for petroleum engineers and publishes much information concerning the industry. Petroleum engineering education is available at 17 universities in the United States and many more throughout the world - primarily in oil producing states - but not only top producers, and some oil companies have considerable in house petroleum engineering training classes.

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D (2005)

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D is a 2005 comedy by Robert Rodriguez, the writer, producer and director of Spy Kids. The film uses the same anaglyph 3D technology used in Spy Kids 3D: Game Over. The film stars Cayden Boyd, Taylor Lautner, Taylor Dooley, and George Lopez. Many of the concepts and much of the story was conceived by Rodriguez' kids, and seven-year-old Racer Rodriguez.

The film tells the story of a 10-year-old named Max, who is burdened by school bullies and quarreling parents. He makes up two superhero friends, Sharkboy and Lavagirl, who are "real" and come and find Max in order to take him back to their home, Planet Drool, which is in danger. Most of the villains are really people in Max's real life. Much of the film deals with the conflict between fantasy (the dreamworld) and reality. The film performed modestly at the box office, and won little praise from critics.

Plot

Max is a lonely child who creates a dreamworld named Planet Drool where all of his imagination and dreams come to life. He creates two characters, Sharkboy who was raised by sharks as a child, and Lavagirl, who can produce fire and lava, but has trouble touching objects without setting them alight. The two left Max to guard Planet Drool. In real life, Max's parents have little time for him, and bullied by a fellow schoolmate named Linus and teacher Mr. Electricidad. However, he does recieve friendship from Marissa, Mr. Electricidad's daughter. Linus vandilises Max's sketchbook where all of his ideas are kept, and a storm rages outside the school, and moments later Sharkboy and Lavagirl appear and ask Max to come with them to Planet Drool. They reach Planet Drool via a shark-like spacecraft where Max learns that the dreamworld is turning bad, courtesy of Mr. Electric, originally the guardian of the dreamworld but now corrupted.

Sharkboy and Lavagirl save some children from an out-of-control rollercoaster and then they and Max confront Mr. Electric, who quickly drops them in a part of Planet Drool called the Passage of Time where some of Max's dreams have been dumped. They find Tobor, a robot toy that was never finished being built by Max, but he offers them a lift to other parts of the planet. Whilst on the journey, the three form a friendship but they face hardships, such as Sharkboy's anger for the oceans being frozen over, and Lavagirl's desperation to find her true purpose on Planet Drool. They are pursued by Mr. Electric and his "plughounds" across the planet. They plan to visit the Ice Princess and obtain the Crystal Heart which can freeze time, giving them enough time to get to the centre of Planet Drool and fix the dreamworld using Max's daydreaming. However, they are captured by Mr. Electric and delivered to Linus, or his Planet Drool incarnation Minus, who has altered the dreamworld with Max's own sketchbook. Max retrieves the sketchbook from Minus whilst he is sleeping, and the three escape. Max informs Sharkboy that his father is alive via his book, and when Lavagirl wishes to find out what it says about her, she burns the book to ash. In her rage, Lavagirl confronts Max and asks him why she was made out of lava but is calmed by Sharkboy.

With little time left until the dreamworld is completely corrupted, Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl reach the Ice Princess. She hands over the Crystal Heart but Max and co. find they are too late to stop the corruption. Mr. Electric fools Sharkboy into jumping into water filled with electrical eels, seemingly killing him. Lavagirl jumps into the water to retrieve Sharkboy but dies moments later. Tobor's head appears and convinces Max to dream a better and an unselfish dream, which in turn revives Sharkboy who then races Lavagirl to a volcano where she is revived, Max concluding that Lavagirl is light. Max gains dream powers and battles Minus, defeating him, and offering to make a better dreamworld between the two of them, which Linus agrees to. Mr. Electric refuses to accept the new dreamworld, and flies off to Earth to kill Max whilst he is daydreaming. Max awakens back in his classroom in the middle of the storm, Mr. Electric materialising before Max and an astonished Mr. Electricidad. Max's parents are caught in the storm but saved by Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Max gives the Crystal Heart to Marissa, allowing her to gain the Ice Princess' powers and freezing and destroying Mr. Electric. Mr. Electricidad, Linus and Max all make peace with one another, and Max is reunited with his parents.

In the end, Max informs his class that Planet Drool became a proper dreamworld again, Sharkboy became the King of the Ocean, and Lava became Queen of the Volcanoes, even aquatic ones, and try to work on their relationship, and Max is shown building Tobor with his parents.

The leaves were so still that even Bibi thought it was going to rain. Bobinôt, who was accustomed to converse on terms of perfect equality with his little son, called the child's attention to certain sombre clouds that were rolling with sinister intention from the west, accompanied by a sullen, threatening roar. They were at Friedheimer's store and decided to remain there till the storm had passed. They sat within the door on two empty kegs. Bibi was four years old and looked very wise.

"Mama'll be 'fraid, yes," he suggested with blinking eyes.

"She'll shut the house. Maybe she got Sylvie helpin' her this evenin'," Bobinôt responded reassuringly.

"No; she ent got Sylvie. Sylvie was helpin' her yistiday," piped Bibi.

Bobinôt arose and going across to the counter purchased a can of shrimps, of which Calixta was very fond. Then he retumed to his perch on the keg and sat stolidly holding the can of shrimps while the storm burst. It shook the wooden store and seemed to be ripping great furrows in the distant field. Bibi laid his little hand on his father's knee and was not afraid.

II

Calixta, at home, felt no uneasiness for their safety. She sat at a side window sewing furiously on a sewing machine. She was greatly occupied and did not notice the approaching storm. But she felt very warm and often stopped to mop her face on which the perspiration gathered in beads. She unfastened her white sacque at the throat. It began to grow dark, and suddenly realizing the situation she got up hurriedly and went about closing windows and doors.

Out on the small front gallery she had hung Bobinôt's Sunday clothes to dry and she hastened out to gather them before the rain fell. As she stepped outside, Alcée Laballière rode in at the gate. She had not seen him very often since her marriage, and never alone. She stood there with Bobinôt's coat in her hands, and the big rain drops began to fall. Alcée rode his horse under the shelter of a side projection where the chickens had huddled and there were plows and a harrow piled up in the corner.

"May I come and wait on your gallery till the storm is over, Calixta?" he asked.

"Come 'long in, M'sieur Alcée."

His voice and her own startled her as if from a trance, and she seized Bobinôt's vest. Alcée, mounting to the porch, grabbed the trousers and snatched Bibi's braided jacket that was about to be carried away by a sudden gust of wind. He expressed an intention to remain outside, but it was soon apparent that he might as well have been out in the open: the water beat in upon the boards in driving sheets, and he went inside, closing the door after him. It was even necessary to put something beneath the door to keep the water out.

"My! what a rain! It's good two years sence it rain' like that," exclaimed Calixta as she rolled up a piece of bagging and Alcée helped her to thrust it beneath the crack.

She was a little fuller of figure than five years before when she married; but she had lost nothing of her vivacity. Her blue eyes still retained their melting quality; and her yellow hair, dishevelled by the wind and rain, kinked more stubbornly than ever about her ears and temples.

The rain beat upon the low, shingled roof with a force and clatter that threatened to break an entrance and deluge them there. They were in the dining room—the sitting room—the general utility room. Adjoining was her bed room, with Bibi's couch along side her own. The door stood open, and the room with its white, monumental bed, its closed shutters, looked dim and mysterious.

Alcée flung himself into a rocker and Calixta nervously began to gather up from the floor the lengths of a cotton sheet which she had been sewing.

"If this keeps up, Dieu sait if the levees goin' to stan it!" she exclaimed.

"What have you got to do with the levees?"

"I got enough to do! An' there's Bobinôt with Bibi out in that storm—if he only didn' left Friedheimer's!"

"Let us hope, Calixta, that Bobinôt's got sense enough to come in out of a cyclone."

She went and stood at the window with a greatly disturbed look on her face. She wiped the frame that was clouded with moisture. It was stiflingly hot. Alcée got up and joined her at the window, looking over her shoulder. The rain was coming down in sheets obscuring the view of far-off cabins and enveloping the distant wood in a gray mist. The playing of the lightning was incessant. A bolt struck a tall chinaberry tree at the edge of the field. It filled all visible space with a blinding glare and the crash seemed to invade the very boards they stood upon.

Calixta put her hands to her eyes, and with a cry, staggered backward. Alcée's arm encircled her, and for an instant he drew her close and spasmodically to him.

"Bonté!" she cried, releasing herself from his encircling arm and retreating from the window, the house'll go next! If I only knew w'ere Bibi was!" She would not compose herself; she would not be seated. Alcée clasped her shoulders and looked into her face. The contact of her warm, palpitating body when he had unthinkingly drawn her into his arms, had aroused all the old-time infatuation and desire for her flesh.

"Calixta," he said, "don't be frightened. Nothing can happen. The house is too low to be struck, with so many tall trees standing about. There! aren't you going to be quiet? say, aren't you?" He pushed her hair back from her face that was warm and steaming. Her lips were as red and moist as pomegranate seed. Her white neck and a glimpse of her full, firm bosom disturbed him powerfully. As she glanced up at him the fear in her liquid blue eyes had given place to a drowsy gleam that unconsciously betrayed a sensuous desire. He looked down into her eyes and there was nothing for him to do but to gather her lips in a kiss. It reminded him of Assumption.

"Do you remember—in Assumption, Calixta?" he asked in a low voice broken by passion. Oh! she remembered; for in Assumption he had kissed her and kissed and kissed her; until his senses would well nigh fail, and to save her he would resort to a desperate flight. If she was not an immaculate dove in those days, she was still inviolate; a passionate creature whose very defenselessness had made her defense, against which his honor forbade him to prevail. Now—well, now—her lips seemed in a manner free to be tasted, as well as her round, white throat and her whiter breasts.

They did not heed the crashing torrents, and the roar of the elements made her laugh as she lay in his arms. She was a revelation in that dim, mysterious chamber; as white as the couch she lay upon. Her firm, elastic flesh that was knowing for the first time its birthright, was like a creamy lily that the sun invites to contribute its breath and perfume to the undying life of the world.

The generous abundance of her passion, without guile or trickery, was like a white flame which penetrated and found response in depths of his own sensuous nature that had never yet been reached.

When he touched her breasts they gave themselves up in quivering ecstasy, inviting his lips. Her mouth was a fountain of delight. And when he possessed her, they seemed to swoon together at the very borderland of life's mystery.

He stayed cushioned upon her, breathless, dazed, enervated, with his heart beating like a hammer upon her. With one hand she clasped his head, her lips lightly touching his forehead. The other hand stroked with a soothing rhythm his muscular shoulders.

The growl of the thunder was distant and passing away. The rain beat softly upon the shingles, inviting them to drowsiness and sleep. But they dared not yield.

The rain was over; and the sun was turning the glistening green world into a palace of gems. Calixta, on the gallery, watched Alcée ride away. He turned and smiled at her with a beaming face; and she lifted her pretty chin in the air and laughed aloud.

Bobinôt and Bibi, trudging home, stopped without at the cistern to make themselves presentable.

Bobinôt and Bibi began to relax and enjoy themselves, and when the three seated themselves at table they laughed much and so loud that anyone might have heard them as far away as Laballière's.

Bank Negara Malaysia has commenced investigations into Asia Ceramic Sdn Bhd under Section 25(1) Banking and Financial Institutions Act 1989 (BAFIA) and Section 4(1) of Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001 (AMLATFA). Section 25(1) of BAFIA 1989 prohibits any person from receiving, taking, or accepting deposits without having a valid license, whereas Section 4(1) of AMLATFA 2001 prohibits any person from engaging in, or attempting to engage in, or abetting the commission of money laundering activities.

Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Roy Yamaguchi moved to the U.S. to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. After graduating, his devotion to French cooking was nurtured further in southern California, where he signed on for an apprenticeship at L'Escoffier, followed by one at L'Ermitage under the late master chef Jean Bertanou. He worked his way up to chef status with stints at Le Serene and Le Gourmet. In 1984, Chef Yamaguchi finally opened his first restaurant as an owner, 385 North on Hollywood's La Cienega.

This is where the Yamaguchi cooking style, described by Bon Appetit as "California-French-Japanese-eclectic," first came into bloom. After dissolving his L.A. partnership in early 1988, he uprooted his young family in order to renew his acquaintance with Hawaii, settling into the eastern side of Honolulu known as Hawaii Kai. The opening of Yamaguchi's restaurant, Roy’s, did not go unnoticed. Within months Food & Wine dubbed it "the crown jewel of Honolulu's East-West eateries." It was virtually the only one of its type in the early years. Today there are 37 Roy’s worldwide. He boasts the honor of being the first Hawaiian restaurateur to win the prestigious James Beard Award. The F/A-22 is destined to replace the F-15 and become the next-generation fighter of the USAF. Together with the competing F-23 it is one of the first fighter designs optimised for stealth. In addition, it was designed to "supercruise", i.e. fly at supersonic speeds without afterburner. The F/A-22 has a relatively conventional appearance, with twin tails and flat fuselage sides. The engines have two-dimensional thrust vectoring nozzles. To conserve a low radar cross-section, the armament is carried in internal weapons bays. First operational F-22 made it's debut in December 2005. Plans for a naval version, intended to replace the F-14, with extensive changes to make the aircraft suitable for carrier use, have been shelved.

First look/first kill in all environments- A combination of improved sensor capability , improved situational awareness, and improved weapons provides first-kill opportunity against the threat. The F-22 possesses a sophisticated sensor suite that allow the pilot to track, identify, and shoot the threat before it detects the F-22. Significant effort is being placed on cockpit design and avionics fusion to improve the pilot's situational awareness. Advanced avionic technologies allow the F-22 sensors to gather, integrate, and display essential information in the most useful format to the pilot.

Reduced observables- Advances in low-observable technologies provide significantly improve survivability and lethality against air-to-air and surface-to-air threats. The F-22's combination of reduced observability and supercruise accentuate the advantage of surprise in a tactical environment.

Supersonic persistence- The F-22 engines produce more thrust than any current fighter engine, especially in the military (non-afterburner) power. This characteristic allows the F-22 to efficiently cruise at supersonic airspeeds without using afterburner (supercruise). This capability greatly expands the F-22's operating envelope in both speed and range over current fighters which must use afterburner to operate at supersonic speeds.

Increased maneuverability- The F-22 has been extensively designed, tested, and refined aerodynamically during the Demonstration/Validation (DEM/VAL) process and coupled with high-maneuver capability. The sophisticated F-22 aerodesign and high thrust-to-weight provides the capability to outmaneuver all current and projected threat aircraft.

Improved combat radius on internal fuel- To ensure the F-22 provides air superiority for deep-interdiction aircraft, it operates at medium and high altitude at ranges superior to current generation air-superiority aircraft.

Improved reliability and maintainability- To ensure operational flexibility, the F-22 has better reliability and maintainability than any military fighter in history. Increased F-22 reliability and maintainability pays off in less manpower required to fix the aircraft and consequently less aircraft required to support a deployed squadron. Additionally, reduced maintenance support provides the benefit of reduced life cycle cost and the ability to operate more efficiently from prepared of dispersed operating locations. The F-22 exceeds current fighter sortie surge rates with a reduced support structure.

Increased lethality and survivability- The above characteristics provide a synergistic effect that ensures F-22 lethality against an advanced air threat. The combination of reduced observability and supercruise drastically shrinks surface-to-air engagement envelopes and minimizes threat capabilities to engage and shoot the F-22.

Air-to-surface capability- The F-22 has a secondary role to attack surface targets. The aircraft will be capable of carrying 2 x 1,000 pound Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) internally and will use on-board avionics for navigation and weapons delivery support.

History

The ATF (Advanced Technology Fighter) programme began in September 1983, when design contracts were awarded to seven companies; in October 1986, development contracts were awarded to two consortia, one consisting of Lockheed (prime contractor), Boeing, and General Dynamics, the other of Northrop (prime contractor) and McDonnell Douglas. The first Northrop/MD YF-23A (unofficially "Black Widow II") flew on 27 August 1990, followed by the first Lockheed/Boeing/GD YF-22A (unofficially "Lightning II") on 29 September 1990. In April 1991, the YF-22A was selected for development and eventual service.

Recent budget cuts have slowed down the schedule slightly; the first flight of the production Lockheed/Boeing F-22A (General Dynamics sold its fighter division to Lockheed in December 1992), originally scheduled for June 1996, will now be in September 1997. Service entry is expected to begin in 2005; the USAF is currently fighting an attempt by the General Accounting Office to delay this to 2010. Total production, originally planned to be 648 aircraft, has now been reduced to 339.

Reports differed as to whether the aircraft had an official name yet; for a while the Pentagon was considering "Superstar", and some magazine reports have claimed that the name "Rapier" has been assigned. It’s not easy to photograph the world-famous buildings of Paris that have been shot to death, but why not take out the camera when the sun is down?

Paris is called “the City of Lights” with good reason — one look at the city’s glittering skyline at night, and it is easy to see why.

The many famous buildings that make up its nightscape are bathed in a flattering glow of hundreds of subtle spotlights. Clever positioning of these spotlights gives each of these architectural and historical icons a flattering, almost otherworldly look.

The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe — all are well-recognised Parisian icons that are visited by millions every year. They are unashamedly big, bold and shout character. All are grand testaments to religious, nationalistic and historical prowess.

But sadly, most visitors only bother to see these timeless edifices on day tours when they form a massive and hectic scrum with thousands of other like-minded tourists who are there to get a quick, happy snap of themselves in front of “whatever-it-is” before moving on as part of the tourist tsunami that ebbs and flows across Paris’s main attractions daily.
But night time, when the tour groups are busy plowing through the hotel buffet, is when these icons begin to glow peacefully. And this is really the best time to see and feel them. With so few others around, you get a much more personal experience unencumbered by the teeming masses.
And if you are into photography and have a tripod, this is better than heaven . . .

The Louvre — home of the Mona Lisa, amongst many other splendid displays — is the museum of antiquities and arts, and is almost as fantastic on the outside as on the inside. Nearly 20 years ago, the famous architect I. M. Pei designed a glass-and-metal pyramid to express modernism in a classical form.

The pyramid, while impressive by day, becomes magical at night when it is lit from within. Geometric pool of water reflect and allow for symmetry.
I tend to shoot architecture at an angle (sometimes refered to as a “Dutch Angle”. Long story. Don’t ask). This breaks away from the innate symmetry of most buildings and forces the viewer to follow different lines wherever the eye may take them.

First, adjust your camera on the tripod for composition. Next, if your camera has a manual setting, switch to that.

Now, find out what the correct exposure for this night scene is. And finally, overexpose by 1 or 2 stops to record the subtly reflected light in the clouds. Don’t forget to set the shutter release on self-timer. This way, you won’t shake the camera when you press the button.

This is all a bit hit and miss — more art than science — so take plenty of shots and experiment. I positioned my travelling partner in an odd silhouetted pose in order to add a bit of mystery.

The Notre Dame is one of the oldest and, to my mind, the grandest of Parisian landmarks. I went there during the day and there were at least 3,000 other people packed in front of it, completely obscuring the beautiful cobblestone plaza. But at 7pm, just after nightfall, there were just a handful of locals milling about.
That’s me in the foreground. I opened the shutter for 20 seconds (once again, slightly over-exposing using manual control), moved in front of the camera and stood still. This way, all the other moving passers-by disappeared as they moved through the frame, and I had Notre Dame all to myself!

Also, having someone in the shot helps to give a sense of size and perspective. By setting the White Balance on Auto, and overexposing a bit, you get a fairly desaturated shot which is halfway to being a black-and-white shot — perfect for showing off architecture against a surreal night sky . . .

The Arc de Triomphe is a massive arch that sits in the middle of the busiest — and craziest — roundabout in the world. In this photo, I wanted to show the frantic, swirling traffic around this timeless, patient, sombre war
memorial.

Once again, by using the Dutch Angle technique, the Arc looks like it is leaning backward against the on-rush of traffic, somewhat taken aback by its randomness.

The trick here is to shoot at varying speeds, from a 1/4 second up to 10 seconds or more.

Each shutter speed will blur the passing traffic differently. Take your time and remember to adjust your aperture to match your shutter speed. Can’t slow it down or speed it up enough using the shutter and aperture controls? Adjust your ASA “film” speed.

Ahh, Le Grande Dame of the Parisian skyline — the Eiffel Tower, possibly the most well-recognised architectural icon in the world. The idea of night photography is not only to see these awesome sights in a different, less cliched setting. The challenge for us photographers — day or night — is to find a fresh angle to make a building photographed millions of times each year look fresh and eye-catching again.

To do this, it helps to first scout around all sides of the tower to see if there are any props that you can use to enhance the shot, whether by framing it or by setting a mood somehow.

By day, the Eiffel Tower is asleep. No lights, no energy, nothing but steel girders. But at night, around 7pm in the autumn and winter, the Eiffel Tower comes to life, bathed in a royal blue light. And here’s the kicker: every hour for just 5 minutes, the tower sparkles with thousands of white flashing lights that simulate fireworks!

In this shot, I wanted to have the medium blue of the not-quite-night sky complement the blue of the tower lights. And the sparkling white lights, of course. But because the Eiffel Tower is so tall and vertical, even with all the lights on, it would have looked odd against a featureless sky. So the trick was to find something interesting to frame it. I found this old-fashioned merry-go-round and a hotdog stand across the street.
I set up the camera to shoot at a slightly slow shutter speed to record the movement of the merry-go-round, it’s warm lights juxtaposed with the cool blues of the tower and sky.

And voila!

Ho XVIIIA

The A model of the Ho XVIII was a long, smooth blended wing. Its six jet engines were buried deep into the wing and the exhaust centered on the trailing end. The aircraft greatly resembled the Horten Ho-229 flying wing fighter. Many odd features distinguished the aircraft. The landing gear would be jettisoned after takeoff.

Also, the flying wing was made of wood and carbon based glue, making it a stealth aircraft. The aircraft was first proposed for the Amerika Bomber project and was personally reviewed by Herman Goering. After review, the Horten brothers were forced to share design and construction of the aircraft with Junkers and Messerschmitt engineers. The engineers wanted to add a single rudder fin. Also they suggested using underwing pods to house the engines and landing gear. Unsatisfied, the Horten brothers began work on the Ho XVIIIB.

The B model of the Ho XVIIIB was generally the same as the A model. One major difference was the four (down from six) engines and four-wheel landing gear were held in underwing pods. The landing gear retracted into the pods. The aircraft used a three-man crew under a bubble canopy. Armament was considered unnecessary. The aircraft was to be built in huge concrete hangars and operate off long runways. The aircraft was supposed to begin construction near the end of fall 1945, but the end of the war came with no progress.

1.Broadband connectivity
Broadband has come to most of the United States, with almost 73 million subscribers as of the end of 2007. That’s more than 50% of U.S. households and more than 70% of all home Internet subscribers. Experts predict that by 2012, more than 70% of households will have broadband access. Broadband has many advantages for users, including high speed at relatively low cost and the "always-on" nature that eliminates the need to log onto the ISP each time you want to access Internet resources. But those same characteristics also make it the perfect technology for exploitation by hackers and attackers. Having your computer connected to the ‘Net 24/7 means the cybercriminals have a much wider window of opportunity to gain access and steal your data, crash your computer, or otherwise do you harm. And the high speed of new access technologies (for example, Verizon now offers 50Mbps plans and predicts speeds up to 100Mbps or more in the near future) means a "drive-by download" can put even a large malicious file on your machine in just seconds

2.Wi-fi networking
Another technology that has become incredibly popular is wi-fi, or 802.11 wireless networking. With increasing frequency, both home and business networks are connected by wireless technologies instead of Ethernet cables, and wi-fi hotspots proliferate in public places such as coffee shops, airports, hotels, and city parks. Wi-fi offers maximum convenience because you can move around and stay connected, but it also makes it more convenient for a criminal to get onto your network and into your system without your even knowing, since anyone with a wireless-enabled laptop within range can intercept the signals. Unlike their older counterparts, new wireless access devices use encryption by default—but you need to check and ensure that yours uses the more secure encryption, such as WPA/WPA2/802.11i rather than WEP, which is easy to crack. You should also use strong encryption for the applications you run over a wireless network (for example, SSH and TLS/HTTPS). You can use a VPN (virtual private network) or IPsec to encrypt traffic traveling over a wireless LAN, and you should create a separate network segment for your wireless communications if you also have a wired LAN.

3.Removable media
Floppy drives have been almost entirely replaced by CD/DVD readers/writers, flash card readers, and USB drives, but whatever the form, cybercriminals love removable media. If they can get physical access to a computer, they can quickly and easily copy files and remove them, often with no one the wiser. Removable media also pose a security risk because it’s easy to lose discs, thumb drives, flash cards, and the like. You can use Group Policy in Vista or edit the registry in XP to disable use of USB devices. You can also get thirdparty software that will block the use of any I/O devices through USB and IEEE1394 ports or using BlueTooth wireless connections. 4.The Web
The Web is hardly a "new" technology now, but it’s still a favorite of cybercriminals because almost everyone who connects to the Internet uses a Web browser. Back when the Web was text-based, browsing was a pretty safe activity, but today’s Web pages are expected to do much more, and many of them run programs—such as Javascripts and Active-X controls—to give users a much richer multimedia experience. The problem is that attackers can use these browser capabilities to run their own malicious programs on your computer. Don’t be fooled into thinking that because you use a particular browser, you’re safe. All popular browsers have vulnerabilities and can be exploited. More important is the browser’s settings. If you disable Javascript and ActiveX for most sites, you’ll make it more difficult for attackers to get to your computer through your browser (but you may also not be able to properly view some sites). It’s also important to install security updates for your browser as they’re released.

5.E-mail and instant messaging
E-mail is becoming ubiquitous. Almost everybody has one or more e-mail addresses, and it’s one of the most convenient ways to communicate. It has almost the same immediacy as a phone call or instant message without the pressure to answer in real time unless you want to. Unfortunately, e-mail also has some characteristics that make it attractive to criminals. They can send mail with spoofed return addresses so that it’s difficult or impossible to discover the true origin of the messages. Thus, they can get away with sending spam, phishing messages, threats, child pornography, and other types of illegal correspondence. Instant messaging programs can also present a threat. As with e-mail, IMers can pretend to be someone else, and most IM programs now support file transfer, which provides a way for criminals to download malicious software to your machine. Technologies to authenticate the identity of e-mail senders, such as Microsoft’s Sender ID and the more generic SPF, can solve the spoofing problem—but only if all e-mail domain owners use them. Meanwhile, you can protect yourself with spam filtering software that allows you to create a whitelist or safe senders list and by following best practices such as not clicking on hyperlinks in e-mail, viewing your mail in text format only (no HTML mail), and not engaging in IM conversations or file exchange with people you don’t know.

6.Unified communications
Unified communications (UC) is a popular trend in the enterprise space, and companies are finding many advantages in combining their e-mail, telephony, IM, and conferencing applications so that these programs can interact with each other. With voice over IP (VoIP) slowly replacing traditional telephone services, all these communications technologies can be run over the same network. However, this also means that now your phone calls are subject to some of the same threats to which your data has always been vulnerable: VoIP packets can be intercepted or even modified in transit just as other data traffic can. To protect yourself in a unified world, use encryption to keep important data confidential—whether it's text, voice, or other. Also make sure UC software is updated regularly (along with the underlying operating system) and use authentication to verify the origin of messages and to ensure that messages haven’t been tampered with.

7.Peer-to-Peer (P2P) programs
The most popular means of exchanging large files quickly across the Internet is through the use of P2P software and networks, such as BitTorrent, KaZaA, Gnutella, and Napster. People use them to share music and movies in violation of copyright laws, but also for legitimate purposes, such as distributing their own home movies and pictures. The number of songs swapped via P2P networks is estimated to be in the billions per year. Criminals love P2P networks because they can mislabel the files they share and cause you to download malware (such as a program that allows the criminal to take over your computer) when you think you’re downloading a song. Most of these networks also strive to protect the anonymity of users, so the bad guys have little risk of being caught. The best way to protect yourself from the dangers of using P2P applications is not to use them at all

8.E-commerce and online banking
More and more of us are conducting more and more of our business over the Internet. It’s convenient to buy what we need from home and have it delivered to our doorsteps and to pay our bills and transfer money between our accounts without a trip to the bank. Criminals love this trend, because it gives them additional opportunities to get hold of your money. They can intercept information as it travels across the network, break into the databases of online businesses or financial institutions to steal information, or set up their own fake e-commerce sites and lure you into giving them your credit card number and other information under the pretense of selling you something. To protect yourself when buying or banking online, do business only with well-known sites and ensure that your Web traffic is encrypted (your browser will indicate when a site is secure). Navigate to those sites directly. (Don’t click a link in e-mail to get there.) Don’t save your credit card information on the Web sites, either—type it in each time. Keep a close watch on your credit card statements and bank statements and immediately report any suspicious or unauthorized activity.

9.Mobile computing
Computing has become increasingly mobile and devices ranging from small PDA phones to full-size laptops are being used to store important data and connect to home and company networks. Because of their mobility, however, these devices can easily be lost or stolen—and the data goes with them. If the device contains your personal information, you could be subject to identity theft. If it contains client information for your company, you could put those clients at risk and possibly put your company in violation of regulatory compliance requirements.

Luckily, there are a number of ways to protect yourself from these threats. Many portable computers today come with built in TPMs (Trusted Platform Modules), which are hardware-based cryptography chips that work with software technologies such as Microsoft’s BitLocker (included in some editions of Vista and Server 2008) to encrypt the drive and prevent a thief from being able to log on or access any of the files. More and more laptops also include fingerprint recognition software and other extra security measures. You can also install tracking software that will cause the laptop to "phone home" when connected to the Internet if you fail to enter the correct password. Many PDA phones provide for password protection and you can buy third-party programs to encrypt data on the phone. The latest versions of Windows Mobile allow you to encrypt the information on the storage card without a third-party program, and you can also remotely wipe the device and card.

10.Universal connectivity
Closely related to mobility is universal connectivity. We are putting not just our computers but our entire lives online. Kitchen appliances and laundry machines can connect to the Internet, pool and spa equipment can be accessed online, and so forth. Many of us have security surveillance cameras with built-in Web servers, which we can monitor from anywhere in the world as long as we have an Internet connection. All of this connectivity is great, but it opens up avenues by which criminals can invade our homes without ever setting foot inside. We also put ourselves online in another way. We have personal Web sites, MySpace or FaceBook accounts, Second Lives, and other venues where we reveal more about ourselves than we realize. Criminals love these social networking tools because it makes it easy for them to pick victims and get to know them, sight unseen.

What’s the solution, then? Should we disconnect from the global network, erase our presences from the Web, and go hide in our rooms? Even if that were possible (and it’s not), the cure would be worse than the disease. In today’s world, functioning without the technology is becoming increasingly difficult, and once you’ve taken the technological plunge, the information is "out there"—there’s no going back.

The key is increased awareness and constant vigilance. Use common sense, as you do in the real world. Don’t automatically trust strangers. Don’t wander into places (virtual or physical) where you’re unfamiliar with the terrain. Don’t divulge sensitive information, such as credit card and bank accounts numbers, social security numbers, and birthdates, that can be used to steal your identity. Most cybercriminals are like most other predators: they go for the easy marks. By taking some precautions, you can still use the technologies that they exploit—so long as you use them wisely—without becoming a victim.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a 2009 fantasy-adventure film based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. It is the sixth film in the Harry Potter film series. It is directed by David Yates, the director of the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. David Heyman and David Barron produced the film, and Steve Kloves, screenwriter of the first four films, returned as screenwriter for this film. Filming began on 24 September 2007, and the film was released in cinemas worldwide on 15 July 2009. Unlike the previous film, the sixth film was not simultaneously released in regular cinemas and IMAX 3-D in all countries, due to a Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen several week commitment. The film will instead be released in IMAX 3D on 29 July, two weeks after its original release, in these countries. The film opened to critical acclaim and commercial success, and breaking the records for biggest midnight opening gross of all time as well as biggest single-day worldwide gross of all time. The film is dedicated to the memory of actor Rob Knox, who portrays Marcus Belby in the film and was killed in May 2008.

Scarred by his experience at the Ministry of Magic with Voldemort, Harry is reluctant to return to Hogwarts. Dumbledore encourages him to continue, after taking him to see a former professor, Horace Slughorn, hoping that Slughorn would return to Hogwarts and take Harry under his wing.

Meanwhile, Death Eaters begin to wreck havoc both towards Muggles, destroying the Millennium Bridge, and Wizards, kidnapping the wandmaker Mr. Ollivander and destroying his Diagon Alley shop. Bellatrix Lestrange entreats Severus Snape to enter an Unbreakable Vow with Draco Malfoy's mother, Narcissa, assuring that he will complete the task assigned to Draco should Draco fail and that he will protect him and make sure he doesn't get hurt. Harry, Ron and Hermione, while in Diagon Alley, spot Draco entering Borgin and Burkes and taking part in a ritual with other Death Eaters, and become suspicious of his actions.

At Hogwarts, the school is under tight security to prevent the Death Eaters from entering the school. With Slughorn back to teach Potions, Snape is given Defense Against the Dark Arts. Harry and Ron are encouraged by Professor McGonagall to take up Potions now that Slughorn, with lower standards, is teaching the class; however, as neither was expecting to take the course, they are given textbooks. Harry's book is annotated with more exact instructions to complete potions, giving him an edge over the other students, and finds that it once belonged to the "Half-Blood Prince", a term Hermione cannot figure out. Meanwhile, Ron becomes the successful Gryffindor's Quidditch goalie, attracting the love of Lavender Brown, much to Hermione's chagrin. Harry is also upset over Ginny's attraction to Dean Thomas. During the Christmas Break while Harry and Ron are at the Burrow, the Death Eaters come intending to kidnap Harry, but are forced to retreat after they are outnumbered by Order of the Phoenix members. Before they leave they set fire to the Burrow, and the Weasleys are gathered outside the house, leaving Harry regretting the evil that he has brought down upon people he cares about.

Dumbledore reveals to Harry through the Pensieve memories of Tom Riddle—Voldemort's original name—including a false memory from Slughorn, when Riddle asked him about a certain resistricted Dark Art. The memory fails to reveal this art, and Dumbledore believes that the key to defeating Voldemort is to learn what Dark Art Riddle asked about, and instructs Harry to further confide himself to Slughorn. Using a Luck potion he won earlier in the school year, Harry is able to bring Slughorn to be intoxicated with Hagrid and convinces the professor in his stupor to give him the true memory. This memory reveals that Riddle inquired about the creation of Horcruxes, devices that store a portion of the creator's soul to allow them to live indefinitely. Dumbledore reveals that Riddle's diary and his mother's ring were two of seven Horcruxes that Riddle had created, and that they must track these down and destroy them to make Voldemort mortal.

Meanwhile, Harry continues to be suspicious of Draco's actions, following him around the school but no success in determining what he seeks. Harry believes Draco to be behind two indirect attempts on Dumbledore's life, one through a cursed necklace that Katie Bell, under an Imperius Curse, was bringing to Dumbledore as a gift, and another through a bottle of poisoned wine that Slughorn, similarly cursed, planned to give to the professor. The latter is discovered accidently when Ron ingests the poison; though he recovers with medical treatment, he unconsciously mumbles Hermione's name in front of Lavender, sending her away crying. After this incident, Harry corners Draco in the toilets and after a short fight casts the Sectumsempra curse from the Half-Blood Prince's book, severely harming Draco. Snape arrives knowing that he let Draco get hurt and that he broke one of the promises and heals him. Ginny convinces Harry to hide the book in the Room of Requirement to prevent him from using it again; there, they discover, unknown to them, a Vanishing Cabinet, which Draco has been attempting to repair, but think nothing of it further. Ginny also reveals her love for Harry, and they kiss after she hides the book.

Dumbledore implores Harry to help him recover another Horcrux, the location of which he recently learned. The two apparate to a seaside cliff, and enter a cave where the Horcrux is located. On a small crystalline island, Dumbledore forces Harry to make him drink a mind-altering liquid in order to reveal the Horcrux. While Dumbledore recovers from the liquid, Harry recovers the Horcrux, a small pendant. Harry tries to help Dumbeldore recover, but they are attacked by numerous inferi. Dumbledore recovers in time to set them aflame, and the two return to the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts.

Dumbledore, still weakened by the trial, instructs Harry to go to get Snape. However, before Harry can go, footsteps are heard, and Dumbledore tells Harry to hide on the lower floor. The footsteps belong to Draco, who prepares to kill Dumbledore, but cannot bring himself to do so. Meanwhile, with the Vanishing Cabinet fixed, Bellatrix and other Death Eaters are able to invade Hogwarts through a similar cabinet at Borgin and Burkes, and join Draco in the tower. Snape silently arrives on the lower floor, indicating to Harry to stay quiet, and then goes upstairs, joining the other Death Eaters. Snape then casts the killing spell Avada Kedavra on Dumbledore, throwing him over the side of the Tower and killing him. Snape, Draco, and the other Death Eaters depart the school, Bellatrix casting the Death Eaters' sign over the school, destroying the Great Hall and setting fire to Hagrid's hut in glee. Harry tries to stop them with the Sectumsempra spell, but Snape deflects it and stuns him. Snape says he made up the Sectumsempra spell. As he departs, he explains that he was the Half-Blood Prince.

The school mourns for Dumbledore's death. Harry reveals to Ron and Hermione that the Horcrux they got was a fake, containing a message from an "R.A.B." that stated he had already taken it, but also seeking to end Voldemort's life. Harry tells his friends that he does not plan to return next term, instead seeking out R.A.B. and the other Horcruxes so that he may put an end to Voldemort; Ron and Hermione remind Harry that they are his friends and will help alongside him in his goal.
